S3X question: you've stated that it will take a fixed cog (sturmey only?) or a thread-on freewheel, which is great. Can you do both?! There'd be some chainline to work out, but if the cog goes on first and the freewheel next as a lockring (and your cogs are sensibly splined so they won't unscrew), you can have the best of both worlds. Might need a thin spacer between them for play.
Plan is to use a Steelwool Sweet City EBB frame, the set-up I explained above, and twin chainrings to line them up to allow different gearings and fixed/free options with the same chain length: a more advanced dingle-cog. A perfect fixed/free city and randonneuring bike.
